8.5. DATA CATALOG OF WDC-D FOR SEISMOLOGY¶
8.5.1. 1 Preliminary seismological report of Chinese seismic stations¶
Directory entry title: Preliminary seismological report of Chinese seismic stations
Starting and ending year: 1979 to present
Storage medium: Printed paper publications
Keywords: Earthquake, Seismic, Seismology
Summary:Preliminary Seismological Report of Chinese Seismic Stations is a monthly report, giving the preliminary estimations of epicenter location, focal depth, origin time and magnitude of the earthquakes all over the world determined by Chinese Seismic Station Network. It also includes phase data from 24 Chinese Seismic Stations. The report is expected to be available 3 months after the occurrence of the events represented. This report is compiled by the Institute of Geophysics, State Seismological Bureau of China.
8.5.2. 2 Bulletin of seismological observations of Chinese stations¶
Directory entry title: :Bulletin of seismological observations of Chinese stations
Starting and ending year: 1966 to 198B
Storage medium: Printed paper publications
Keywords:Earthquake, Seismic, Seismology
Summary:Bulletin of Seismological Observations of Chinese Stations is an yearly publication compiled by the Institute of Geophysics, State Seismological Bureau of China, which contains refined catalogue of the earthquakes all over the world, giving their epicenterlocations, origin times, focal depths, and magnitudes. The bulletin also gives the observed seismological data from 24 Chinese Seismic Stations, including epicenter distance, azimuth, phase, phase arrival time, residual, period and displacement of the max-imum amplitude corresponding to this phase. For Chinese events, the lower magnitude limit is ML≥3.5 for East China area;M≥4.5 for West China area; M≥5.5 for Qinghai and Tibet area of China and for the Chines boundary areas. For the teleseismic and ultre-teleseismic events, the catalogue is completed for those with M≥6.0. At present, the last published volume is for 1988. With the use of new computer- based data processing system the publication delay time will be getting shorter than before so as to meet the requirements of the users.
8.5.3. 3 The earthquake microfiche of Chinese seismic stations¶
Directory entry title::The earthquake microfiche of Chinese seismic stations
Starting and ending year: 1979 to 1993
Storage medium: Microfiche of 70mm X 125mm for seismograms from 1979 to 1991; Microfiche of 105mm X 148mm for seismograms from 1992 to 1993.
Keywords: Earthquake, Seismic, Seismogram, Seismology
Summary: The paper seismograms recorded by SK - type seismographs at 24 Chinese Seismic Stations have been copied onto microfiches since 1979. For the period of 1979 to 1991, one seismogram was copied onto one piece of microfiche of 70mmxl25mm with a reduction rate of 7.95. For the period of 1992 to 1993, 105mmxl48mm microfiches are used, on each piece 24 seismograms are copied with a reduction rate of 32.
8.5.4. 4 Report of geomagnetic observation¶
Directory entry title: Report of geomagnetic observation
Starting and ending year: See the summary for detail
Storage medium: Printed paper publications
Keywords: D, H, Z components, Geomagnetic components, Geomagnetic field, Geomagnetism
Summary: Report of Geomagnetic Observation is an yearly report separately com-piled by 8 Chinese Geomagnetic Stations operated by State Seismological Bureau.
